SCC/Special Olympics Chicago is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Funding comes from individuals, organizations, corporate sponsorships, special events and grants. We are not a United Way agency, nor do we receive funding from the Joseph P. Kennedy Jr. Foundation. We exceed our goal to ensure more than 70 percent of funds are used on programs for our athletes. All contributions are tax deductible.

Corporate Partnerships/Sponsorships
Corporate partnerships with SCC/Special Olympics Chicago are customized to meet the philanthropic, marketing, sponsorship and/or employee interests of a company. Because Special Olympics Chicago has activities throughout the year, we are able to offer an almost limitless number of contribution options for companies, their employees and their customers.  Expand your company's visibility in the community via excellent sponsorship opportunities. Special Olympics Chicago events make great outings for employees and their families, while generating positive awareness in the community and with customers. Some utilize the special events to host clients or to reward employees. Others help by providing in-kind support or by soliciting vendors.


Employee Matching Plan
Many companies will match an employee's charity contribution, thereby doubling or even tripling your tax-deductible donation to Special Olympics Chicago. Provide a unique wedding favor

Favors for wedding guests, or those invited to any special occasion celebration, are commonplace. But, none warm the heart like a "in lieu of" gift to support SCC/Special Olympics Chicago that brings joy to those who have yet to experience it.  

In return for your contribution, Special Olympics Chicago will provide beautiful folded cards to place at each table setting. Each 3∏-inch by 2-inch place card is elegantly embossed with the Special Olympics Chicago logo on cream-colored heavyweight paper. The inside message is printed in black ink with a classic invitation style font and reads, "On this special occasion, a generous donation has been made to SCC/Special Olympics Chicago in your honor." The Special Olympics Chicago mission statement is printed on the back of the card.

A Gift by Will/Mention in Obituary One simple way to remember Special Olympics Chicago is to include us in your will and list us in your obituary. When you start thinking of charities that have made a difference in your life and the lives of your family, please remember us. Many of our supporters have left a bequest of a specific amount or a percentage of their estate.
